I'm Kelly Beekman

ARTIST, TEACHER, MENTOR, WORK IN PROGRESS

Today I fully embrace my life as an artist. Artistry is a skill. It is an ability to find solutions and to create order and beauty where once there was none.

I have spent too many years thinking I had to be one thing or another: teacher, painter, organizational assistant, artist, craftsperson, creator. I came to realize I don't have to choose. I can flow from one to the other, depending on the situation and the needs of those I care for and support.

My personal mission is to cultivate the creative core of my being, and through this work awaken the creator within you. Through the practice of art making, by teaching workshops, offering training and being a mentor to others, I hope to fulfill that mission.

When you make time for your own creative activity, you feel more connected to the creativity that lives in your students. Your teaching improves. Join us for monthly gatherings to make art and talk about teaching.

When you become a member, you can enjoy live seminars on Zoom or watch recordings of the sessions that you missed. The themes of these courses will develop and change over time. As a member you can suggest new themes that are important to your creative development.
